    For the people that are using redsnow to boot or jailbreak there device, hold down the power and home button for about 3 more seconds after redsnow would tell you to switch steps(so the power and home button down for 5 seconds AFTER you seen your screen flash

    thank you thank you, I replaced the screen and it turned white, so I turned it off (I knew where the power off slider was from memory) and did what you said (hold the power and home button until the apple logo came on) and it's back to normal
