u have to have a heat lamp they love to bask u can turn it off at night it the temp in ya hoen is around 70d but in teh day they need heat and uvb i have a uvb 5.5 and a75w heat bulb and uvb rays wont go through water just on top but they need uvb and heat above teh water there they can climb all the way out cuz most will sllep in water but not all so a turtle toper is good with uvb and heat lamp bpth in it 12 hours ot uvb and heat unless it stays cold in ya home then heat at night red light

do you know if you NEED a heat lamp? will a UV lamp be enough if you have a water heater?
