  • I think it would do fine on Black sand Mikey.

    The GPX detectors make the ground disappear and just leave the target.

    The best way to explain this is... imagine a fish tank full of gravel and gold targets.

    Remove the gravel leaving the targets suspended where they where... the GPX makes the gravel disappear. Its hard for me to explain in writing but I hope you understand where I am coming from. The GPX's make the gound dissapear.

  • I dont think the 4800 has the salt/gold timing used in this video. Only on the 5000?

  • I enjoyed that! Wonder how it would do on our beaches here on Maui? Add black sand and how would it do? Could i get the coil wet?... i know the box has to stay dry... but say coil in ankle deep salt water? HH Mikey
