Judo Black belt Grading.

Sunday 9th of March I took my black belt 1st Dan grading at High whycombe.
6 fights, lost this, the first fight,scored the first wazari, then messed up the a foot sweep, when I should`ve just held him at bay, but I won the next two and then powered my way through the 3 man line up in less then one minute.

I would have though that first throw would definately score an ippon. The corner judges should have given that! Great throw

ha my old high wycombe judo club, good times had there. I honestly believe that mma is wher its at now.

Here you have to win 2 out of your first 3 fights, and then beat a 3 man line up beating each man in the line up by ippon to get your black.

When I went for my first Dan, I had a six woman line up and if I lost or drew, I would fail. I also had to win by Wazari or more....Seems to be different rules for different organisations I guess.

I won all my fights by Ippon...so I got my Dan grade and felt I earned it.
