@parham001 Saddam wasnt scared of the shah if u are talking about the Shat Al Arab (Arvand Rud) dispute in 1975, there was an agreement in Algiers that stopped the conflict in 1975. only thing that happend was Iran supported Iraqi Kurds and Iraq supported Iranian Kurds we were anoying each other. Also Saddam Hussein was NOT the president at that time it was Ahmed Hassan Al Bakr, Saddam was just prime minister at that time he became president in 1979

I do not like the MKO, but they surely made a vengeful fight for their ideologies, basically they wanted a secular regime during war time, which was pretty stupid and short sited.
