Every once in a while, Sesame Street remakes an old song that was popular. Mostly just to update aging clips to keep up with the modern ones, but sometimes, though rare, they actually improve on the original versions.
Here's a list of the top 7 remakes of older Sesame Street songs.
Th last one was amazing! I liked how they used old footage, who was singing it with Ernie? I really liked the harmony as well, What year was the original made? I remember it and I wasn't born until 1992

I would like to visit the moon is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever written, and it's been covered by dozens of artists both amatuer & professional...just do a YouTube search! Most of them put THIS crappy version to shame!

I'd like to beg to differ on "Healthy Food", and "Moonshine".. and "Fur".. and "C Is For Cookie".. and especially "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon". Maybe it's the nostalgia in me, but they don't quite capture the essence and magic of the originals.

Some of them are good, id like to visit the moon was great but they really messed up some of them badly, the new healthy makes me sad face and wtf is up with taking cookie monsters c is for cookie song away from him and getting some opera bitch to sing it?

I agree they should've put tap shoes on the monsters. They also remade Bert's Doin' The Pigeon dance and cut off his movie of pigeons.
