Nicole describe her situation when she arrived in the US living with her mother and her mother told her and her family to leave because her eldest daughter (Jamilah) is muslim. (she is not in this picture.)

They lived in the streets for a week and lived in several shelters in the city which they could not afford with no funds. With help of the Almighty they found us and we gave them shelter.

They applied for assistance and where denied because they have not lived in the US for five years they solely depends on us to provide for her and her family she needs employment she is a good cook and home keeper anything will help her she also desire to start her own restaurant business someday.

Many of them expect you to be a slave for them and have no rights in their home whatsoever, walking around with the mistaken assumption that things are 'easier' in Trinidad and that you're not accustomed working your arse off and they are there to 'teach' you the reality of 'how to work'. Any family or friend over there invite me to stay I'll pass. I have a brother and sister over there I wouldnt ask them...not even thinking about it...worse yet family will put you out in the snow too.

@TheQueenIsWithin cont'd. The petty arguments are just a way for them to get an excuse to either bully you or get rid of you for not contributing financially. I have family who are legal keep inviting me over and over. I know she is doing it cuz she needed help babysitting and also financially. If they were privy to this info they would have let the mosque help them in the first place or a designated member of the mosque and they would have gotten a better result.

Thats how your own family changes and get individualist when they live up there long.Thats why when I go up there next year I have no intentions going by any family.They usually start acting differently with you in about 2 weeks.They have NO intention of brining you there for your benefit. Its ONLY to suit them.I am hearing too much stories of Trinbagonian people kicking out their own fam on the streets for petty disagreements which in most cases they are being advantagous.
