http://yearslaterwewouldremember.com- On Dec. 29, 1890, 365 members of the U.S. Army engaged in a final confrontation with what remained of the Great Sioux Nation. While the soldiers were trying to disarm the Native Americans, who had only a few remaining weapons, a gun accidentally went off, sparking a one-sided battle. In a matter of minutes, the U.S. Army, armed with four deadly Hotchkiss cannons, killed 300 men, women and children. (Airing on the History Channel.)

  • This is all caused by greed. A man trying to take land. Greed is evil and there is so much in this world these days. In ten years someone you know or is related to you will be dead because of greed. To the very rich we are all just cattle. Even if you are white trash. Trust me. You will know someone. It just may be you. Just like the soldiers that seem to always die from friendly fire.

  • You better look at Kennewic man before you call me "european" you cigar store Injun hooked nosed savage!

  • @norseleague - learn how to spell honky, it's indian...not injun you piece of shit European..you fucking vermin will be the death of all people...IF YOU ARE A MAN SAY "INJUN" TO INDIAN MANS FACE...you little nothing of a European piece of shit...

  • @norseleague actually, all fielded units were destroyed from the 7th, so yes, that's a defeat. Regardless of whoever was coming, they were not deployed or engaged, and so cannot be counted as part of the engaged force. Who sits around waiting for a counter attack on ground that doesn't need to be held?

  • They didn't "defeat" the 7th cavalry at "The little big horn"..who left the battlefield the following day? You could say perhaps the injuns declared victory and left but general terry and colonel Gibbon were coming and the Sioux/Cheyenne fled!
