[Vanessa]

The chains intertwined with the wooden bench rasped silently as I swayed back and forth idly; my feet were suspended off the deck, dangling from the swing hence my altitude wasn't that elevated.
The sound of my best friend and her boyfriend prattling on promptly died out; their conversation turning quickly to something else involving their mouths.
I cringed into the bench's support and starred out at the lake stretched out in front of me; the numerous trees created shadows that fell onto the composed water. I skipped a rock into the lagoon, small pools of disturbance echoed out into the water; their halos fading into the stream as the pond calmed.
The bench groaned and shifted as a new weight was added; I glimpsed out of the corner of my eyes, surprised to see Justin sitting next to me.
He cleared his throat and I darted them safely back to the water.

Justin: "Paige went to go get us something to drink. Did you want anything?" Justin asked quietly and I shook my head rapidly. He chuckled and I smiled vaguely; there was no resisting Justin's happiness, it was contagious.

I felt his eyes on my face; my cheeks burned with the blood under my skin and I couldn't stop myself from glancing at him.

Mistake.

Our eyes locked, his russet orbs fixating me into a spell.

[Justin]

The desire sweeping through me was nearly decapitating; Vanessa's liquid hazel eyes drew me in as the world around me disintegrating into hazy pixels, as if we were suddenly in a picture and the two of us were the focus.

Paige: "Justin?" Paige's voice pulled me from Vanessa's alluring eyes, her dazzling smile and the color seeping into her cheeks.

Justin: "Right here Paige." I spoke softly, clearing my throat and speaking it louder when Paige didn't answer. I kept my eyes away from Vanessa, flitting my sight around the scene behind her.

I knew Vanessa was hurt and I couldn't stop the remorse that stabbed through my heart. Her eyes were filled confusion and impair as she caught my darting glances.

Justin: "Sorry..."I mouthed as Paige ranted on about how happy she was to be at the lake house.

[Paige]

Something was wrong, obviously. I mean, before I had come back with the drinks, I caught a glimpse of Justin and Vanessa. I composed my face and sipped from the glass of rose-tinted lemonade.

"So, Vanessa. Aren't you excited?" I smiled and Vanessa beamed back. "In fact, I was thinking we could go for a swim...." I knew this was low; Vanessa had always been on the chubby side, this would do the trick.

"Um..." Vanessa's eyes were full of pain, but I could seriously care less. "Sure." She finally answered dully and shot a glower at Justin who looked back sympathetically.

I grabbed Vanessa's hand hastily and ran inside, demanding that she change.

[Vanessa]

I knew what Paige was doing. But it wasn't going to work considering I'd lost 20 pounds over the summer and now I was as lean as her. Nevertheless, I wasn't one to brag, so I pulled a petite white cover-up over my bathing suit ( http://www.polyvore.com/vanessa_set/set?id=21802142 )and sauntered outside; only to find Paige sucking faces with Justin.

I cleared my throat and watched uncomfortably as Paige drew back; Justin's face caught in a look of disgust as he wiped the spit from his lips. I giggled and Justin smiled softly.

"Common Justy!" Paige whined and dragged him from the bench. "Come swimming with us!" I snickered under my breath as Justin shook his head furiously.

"Nope!" He declared but Paige had already towed him to the dock where the lake stretched out eternally. "Fine..." He complained and stripped off his shirt; I retained a gasp as his bare chest was revealed.

Paige smirked and intertwined her fingers through his. Justin glanced back at me as I slipped my dress off; his face quickly turning to astonishment.

"What is it J--" Paige began, her eyes narrowing as she took in my figure.

"Let's go swimming..." I suggested and jogged off, swaying my hips back and forth dramatically; feeling a little guilty for drawing attention to myself.
