wtf are you on about? the game is made by takumi for a start and the reflect shield is a game mechanic . It wasnt added for any other reason than thats how the game is designed all the scoring revolves around the shield use .jesus

Re. difficulty: You get the feeling that Capcom added the force shield because they were worried this would completely flop in America? Look at how the later shooters have done...Strikers series, Mars Matrix, Daimahoo. It seems you HAVE to give the player *some* kind of break, otherwise it just won't sell here.
