The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration met with the families of the victims of the Upper Big Branch Explosion before last week's public briefing about the cause of the disaster.
While some of the information is tough to hear, Gary Quarles has attended every meeting so far.
Jessica Lilly reports that going through a public investigation is a battle for Quarles whose only son died in Upper Big Branch.
But unfortunately it's not the only fight he's had to wage.
