Wouldn't that work better for homophobes? They're killing themselves off in that case, and they have no way to spread it to the straight population unless it's some drug addicts sharing needs.
-
So then why don't we pass a federal law against Las Vegas and their drive thru weddings? The sanctity of marriage argument is about as valid as the AIDS argument. We need to allow them to get marriage contracts then so to the government they are the same legal status as married and entitled to the same shit but they won't "ruin the sanctity of your marriage" by actually getting married in a church the same way you want to.

Yury2268..... you and your kind is a disease much like the AIDS virus. Too bad there isn't a test for stupid. My guess is you'd test positive.
-
Well, a disease could theoretically exist that is more prevalent in straights -- would that then make straight sex wrong? It's not technically gay people's fault that AIDS exists, so while it may be technically PRACTICAL for homosexual men to deny their urges, or other adherence to traditional morality, the "disease" angle is still not a great intellectual argument.
Gays have a right to be gay. However, they don't have a right to destroy the tradition of the other 97% of the population.
-
And that is a stereotype, and not actually true. How many gay people do you actually know and interact with on a daily basis? Of all the gay people I've been friends with in my life, I've known maybe TWO guys who engaged in that sort of behavior. The other gay men and women I know WANT to be in committed, monogamous relationships.
-
I stand corrected. Not just a bigot, but also a startlingly insulting, judgmental jackass. And as I've been happily married for the past 13 years, I don't think an AIDS test is necessary, but thank you SO much for your concern.
-
are you the same person I replied to? anyways go get yourself tested for AIDS because you seem to assoiciate yourself around the virus a lot
-
and a committed gay relationship is few and far between, the reality is that homosexuals share many partners and engage in sexual acts which spread HIV, you see they have broken down the idea of a committed relationship, to gays love is love, no matter what shape or form
-
What you happen to consider perverse is hardly my concern. I was simply saying that a committed gay relationship is really no different than a committed heterosexual relationship.
-
Or possibly I'm simply not a bigot, as you clearly are.
Apparently YOU'VE never been discriminated against. You say asking for equal representation under the law is making things worse for ourselves? Change is coming whether you like it or not.

You do know that we have laws against mixing religion and government in this country, right? No one is trying to shut down your religious rights, but you do not have the right to deny others civil rights because they are against your personal religious beliefs.
