This interview was done the day after Martin Luther King was shot.

I always wondered what his speaking voice sounded like. I knew it couldn't have been as high as his singing voice! Why on Earth did he kill himself? He was a brilliant musician, a major blues scholar and in a successful band. I just don't get it.

Alan was a genius. Thanks to recording machines, I am being taught things by Alan Wilson. Cool. But then again, I'd rather have a time machine and replace his guitarist in his band and I would prevent him from ever dying. RIP good man.

Alan was the musical genius behind Canned Heat. So talented, yet so unpretentious. RIP Alan Wilson.

You will always be THE MAN...RIP bro.

Wow - what an intelligent man! He sounds completely opposite from when he sings. Alan makes the whole "hippy 60's " thing look incredibly like a badly developed caricature - he knows how to explain his musical convictions, is concise, and is obviously well acquainted with boogie/blues. Too bad his personal demons got the better of him - today he would be a grandfather of boogie interpretation. I'd love to have a beer and talk blues with him ...

icredible recording, do you have more?
