  • This interview was done the day after Martin Luther King was shot.

  • I always wondered what his speaking voice sounded like. I knew it couldn't have been as high as his singing voice! Why on Earth did he kill himself? He was a brilliant musician, a major blues scholar and in a successful band. I just don't get it.

  • Alan was a genius. Thanks to recording machines, I am being taught things by Alan Wilson. Cool. But then again, I'd rather have a time machine and replace his guitarist in his band and I would prevent him from ever dying. RIP good man.

  • Alan was the musical genius behind Canned Heat. So talented, yet so unpretentious. RIP Alan Wilson.

  • You will always be THE MAN...RIP bro.

  • Wow - what an intelligent man! He sounds completely opposite from when he sings. Alan makes the whole "hippy 60's " thing look incredibly like a badly developed caricature - he knows how to explain his musical convictions, is concise, and is obviously well acquainted with boogie/blues. Too bad his personal demons got the better of him - today he would be a grandfather of boogie interpretation. I'd love to have a beer and talk blues with him ...

  • icredible recording, do you have more?

  • Happy Birthday Alan and thank you for your music xxx
