NBC 2000 split-credits

From 1999-2005 NBC used this split screen called 'NBC 2000.' This allowed the local affiliates to run a tease for their newscast while NBC played their credits. This is recorded directly from NBC 'NET 1' so you can see what it looked like without the local news tease.

Net 1 is a slang term for a regions 'Primary' NBC Network feed. In such that a region being (Eastern/Central, Mountain, Pacific. NET 1 is usually a 'locked dish' dedicated to taking in the feed.

I think this might be in the 2003-2005 range, because in 2000, the split screen had a curve in it.

CW is the last network I saw with a split screen with WPIX

ABC also did as well.But they stopped a little later because i saw a clip of a station using the split-credits concept with credits on the bottom & the news tease up top.

I remember CBS did a similar thing with Letterman, I suppose with all the Digital and HD feeds that stations have to deal with, this rather cleaver concept (in terms of advertising) won't make a come back anytime soon.
