You can’t have it both ways. One day, you’re saying teachers make too much money ‘cuz they’re pulling in a whopping 50 or 60k, then you say 250k is not ‘rich.’ Which is it?

Please explain the basis of the magical "250k/year" - what is the difference between those above 250k, and those below 250k? When Obama refers to the "working stiffs" - does he mean a guy making under 250k, and the"fat cats" make above 250k? Funny how you dems swallow the whole class warfare thing hook, line, and sinker!

The extreme right-wing in this country is trying to destroy the economy. It’s a sad day, indeed.
Here’s how it’s supposed to work. There are 3 things you need to make a law. House, Senate, President. Democrats control 2 of the 3. Tea Party controls part of 1. They have essentially chosen to ignore the other two and will gladly destroy the economy to get what they want, and what they want will hurt everyone under $250k/year. Their antics have already damaged us.

The Balanced Budget Amendment would have to go to the states, and they would have to vote it up or down. If it is such a bad idea, make your case and let the states decide. The ball is in the Senate's court; the world is watching. From where I'm sitting, you all look like a bunch of cowardly children. Can you find a leader from within your ranks?
