as Bobby Fischer made clear - brilliance in chess does not indicate taste or success in life or happiness. idiot savants have shown extraordinary ability in areas that normal humans find inexplicable. I much more appreciate a wide-ranging intelligence that is able to synthesize complex areas of knowledge into something that is useful and beautiful. You might call great games are beautiful - but are they in any way useful??

For a woman chessplayer she is almost a player. I mean of course in the best of the best. She is an outlayer. Men are still superior in the area of spacial awareness. Chess is a special part of intelligence. It is a sort of memory expertise and a desire to win. She obviously has this to a high degree - still not in the highest class.

I want to see Susan Polgar play Alexander Kosteniuk for a quarter of a million dollars. And I want to be the person to organize it. And regardless of who wins, I get to stay in Paris or London Rent-Free, just for organizing the match.

Why is the audio so low :(

I beat my friend blindfolded and he was completely astonished. After you've been playing chess seriously for a while, playing blindfolded isn't all that difficult (it's actually a good way to improve your chess vision)

I dont think Susan has ever beaten a man. She has beaten a bunch of sore losers who do not have the grace to admit when they have been outplayed.

Any of the topgrandmasters can play blind... This video overhypes the subject.

1. the boys have no "overall map" of the maze.
they do NOT have full information about the maze.
This "overall map" is nothing but a wrong claim that is not proven, a kind of myth and not a scientific fact.
In fact, they also "remeber" the way and have to rely on only "imperfect" imformation as well as the girls.
As we know, it is not important where the brain processes data, but how, and in that way both sexes are very much the same.
I think that this maze section is very interesting and should be in a playground so that this type of thinking can become a foundation. You need to use logic, intuition, and team work if possible.
