Dont let it stop at the end, let it fly :)

It appears like you used a 1/4 by 1/4 by 1/4 inch Neodymium magnet? Does this sound familiar? Also, would a modified ramp bring the ball completely vertical?
I find this Awesome!

you should make a bigger one and make it go all the way acrossed the street

Type in 'Magnet Gun' on YouTube search; first video's thumbnail has an example, except that the number of magnets is consistent. Your version of increasing the # of magnets by one would be better, though.

Your way is simpler for on a table, but for portability, you make a track (I used square plastic tubing, makes gluing easier then round tubing) and put the magnets under the track. That's just how I did it, works better for me, as it's all together.
My original comment shoulda read: "There's also another way to do this", sorry :)

you should take of the end magnets so its a gun
Great video!
Did you find that the Steel ball works the best?
Also, is there a specific kind of magnet that is ideal for a project like this?

@littlegruber
No, the magnet works better than the steel ball ;)
For your second question, I don't really know. But I think that more strong the magnets are, more efficient will be the ramp ;)
