This early version of the song was rushed into the original print of the United Artists film in 1965 and only made it onto the 45 rpm vinyl single (without the intro presented here). Subsequent repackaging of the film Help! on videotape, DVD, etc., were issued with the polished, cleaner album version, leaving this original film version out of circulation, sadly. It is currently OUT OF PRINT, which is why it's posted here for posterity.
As you can hear, it is significantly different from the version most Beatles fans have come to know. Don't hear it? The second verse, for instance, begins "And now these days are gone...," whereas the album, more well-known version starts "But now..."
Enjoy.
