I just found this on netflix. I havent cried so much over something i have watched. This is so touching and unbelievable.. I live in Canada and could not believe that our system would do such a thing. I am ashamed. Kate and David are so strong, they are such role models. My heart goes out to them. They have more support than they really know. There is someone looking out for them always.

She killed the guy. Had restraining orders against her. How did she not exhibit any psychotic behavior? Even if she was still awaiting trial, in all likelihood, given the evidence on file, she was guilty, right? If someone was possibly guilty of murder, why the fuck would you set them free & THEN let them raise a child? Fucking legal system is sometimes all laws & no common sense. Fking indifferent, jaded bastards who preside over court. Either that or these fking rubes are so g'damned naive.

what the fuck kind of legal system is that?

criminal offences are legally against the state, not individuals

Thanks for clarifying that :-) It's a great documentary whatever the format it's shown in. Very sad to be sure, but usually the only way laws get changed in society is through injustices like this occurring. I feel sorry for the Bagby's....and 'almost' sorry for the obviously (very mentally) disturbed Shirley.......almost, but not quite!.
P.S if you haven't already ? i would download the video off YT before it gets copyrighted and i have to delete it, as has happened to some of my others.

@MrRhar1 my teacher had the dvd and no one was allowed to to leave by themselves we were that touched by it and a few people had breakdowns in the bathrooms. we are only grade 11 students

@hoppygirl32 O.K my mistake, i assumed that you meant that the video had been downloaded off YT:-) It's pretty strong material for a group of students to watch, no matter what your age group is? Grade 11 (age-wise) means absolutely nothing to me as we don't use that system in the U.K and it's a long, long time since i was in school myself !

is this the same documentary as DEAR ZACHARY? why are the names different? anyone would help thnx
calisunlove 3 months ago
@calisunlove Yes, this is the same documentary. I don't know why the name was changed or whether this is the original title or the other was? Perhaps 'Dear Zachary' was a simpler, rounded up name to sell to a movie audience? Anyway, as stated in my comments below, i have used the title which appears on the posted video o.k. Whatever the name - i hope you enjoyed the video :-)
