It's refreshing to hear a black conservative. Abolitionism was a conservative position from the get-go. It was democrats who opposed civil rights legislation from the time of the civil war to the 1960's. Read the writings of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington and you'll find a philosophy of limited government combined with respect for the equal rights of all. The same holds true for 19th century feminists. The founding president of the NAACP, Moorefield Storey, was a Republican.

Just read a huffington post article and the 1700+ comments called rush a racist. I guess that is where all the crazies from the left meet as a support group because it was the same comments with others commenting how original the posters are.

If a regular man goes on Drugs, and Continues to use the same drugs again and again and again, etc. Do we talk about him, NO.
When people like Charlie Sheen Drink, go on drugs and act like jerks, do we talk about him, yeah for a while.
But for Rush, He only went on pain killers for no more than a couple of months, then Quit before he was arrested. He was using the drug to help his body, but made a mistake.
