  • @peoplegettingbusted: You said you were pretty sure I would feel different if I didn't have AIDS. Well, for the record, I do not have AIDS, I am HIV-, and I know that for a fact as I'm a regular blood donor and they test your blood every time you donate! So my opposition to exiling people who are HIV+ is not due to self interest; it's due to a belief in human rights and nondiscrimination and an understanding that public health does not require or justify confining people who are HIV+.

  • @AIDSvideos

    i know, im just saying.

do you have aids or something? because im pretty sure u wud feel diff if u didnt. dood i feel bad for you man if u really do have aids really i do since ur goin to die younger thats bad

  • Stop wasting time proposing the exile or internment of people who are HIV+. It's not necessary, it's not morally right, it's not legal, and it will not (and should not) ever happen. Focus on options that ARE right and possible, like educating people to make choices that reduce or eliminate their risk of contracting HIV or of transmitting it if they have it, and on things like full funding for Ryan White Act so HIV+ will get the treatment they need & be less likely to infect others.

  • This is a democracy, not a dictatorship. The government doesn't have the right to force people to take medical tests for a disease like HIV or be confined for it without their consent. (That only exists for very special cases that pose an imminent public health threat to other people, like XDR-TB, where the government could confine someone for treatment if they refused it. HIV is not such a disease because it's not readily contagious, e.g. through the air like TB.)

  • @AIDSvideos

... the government could make a test for everyone and not tell that they are being tested for hiv. and after they are put in another place how could it spread?

  • Why are you focusing on people who have HIV and not on people with other transmissible diseases such as Hepatitis C? Should people with Hep C (which is also sexually transmissible) be exiled? Syphilis? Gonorrhea? If you start exiling people with diseases, they'll refuse to be tested, and the disease will spread even more.

  • @AIDSvideos

they shoud be kept in a different community just for hiv because more people are goin to get hiv and aids thats bad

  • Don't feed the trolls mate. You know he won't learn squat from it.

  • I'm as qualified as anyone else. Like cigarettes are still being sold and there proven to be unhealthy. Lung cancer and other related illnesses link by cigarettes kill far more people than aids do and its been that way for decades. So these so called qualified high up folk seem to not be handling anything on there own. O yeah believing god can save anyone isn't no where close to it actually happening... Aids whens against healing preyers probably 99.9% of the time..

  • (1) You can't even spell; you're hardly qualified to decide public health policy. (2) There is no public health or other reason that HIV+ people can't be free to walk where they please. (3) There's no reason anyone should ever be burned alive. (4) You've watched 9930 videos; perhaps you should spend less time watching YT vids and more time developing compassion for others. (5) If HIV+ people "get what they deserve," what do you deserve for being so hateful? (6) I believe God can save anyone.
