Mistakes happen all the time so a small one shouldn't matter too much, right? But you better fix it before the cracks get too deep and you find yourself in the middle of shattered glass.

The sound of my incessant tapping was clearly annoying my parents. Despite knowing that, I kept drumming fingers on the table. "Joseph, stop!" my mother yelled.
"Is something on your mind, son?" Always so observant.
"Yeah. Can I go?"
"No, you canno--"
"Of course, son." He got an evil glare from my mom. "Just let the boy be."
"Thank you, father."
I stood up and hurried to my room. I quickly climbed out of my window and down the side of the castle. I speed-walked to Abigail's house. It was pretty early actually. We were supposed to meet at noon like usual but I just couldn't wait to see her that I was heading over two hours early.
I looked in her window and saw Abigail sitting on her bed. The covers were up to her waist and she was really concentrating on the book she was reading. I decided to surprise her a little so I quietly slid the window open. I started to climb in as quietly as I could but, being the klutz I am, I tripped and fell right on my face.
"Oh my gosh," I heard that sweet voice say.
"I'm okay." I groaned and felt Abigail helping me up. I stood up and brushed myself off. "See? All good." She seemed to not notice and sat back in her bed, picking up where she left off. "Is everything okay, Abigail?"
She just ignored me and turned the page. I sat down next to her and put an arm across her back. "Why are you here?"
"I just couldn't wait to see you so I thought I would come. I found out about this really great place in the woods. Come on, let's go."
"No, thanks."
"Um, okay. What are you reading?"
"A book."
"I can see that. What is it called?"
She failed to answer and continued to read, like I wasn't even there. I could tell something was bothering her. I started reading the book and a sentence stood out to me. 'He was always so nice to me and I knew how in love with him I was.' I smiled. A love story, huh?
"Oh, a love story. Can I read?" She said nothing and I kept reading. "Aw, it's all cute and girly." I took the book from her and tried to read it.
"No, give it back!" She reached over, trying to retrieve it.
"Come on. Just let me read a little. Aww. How sweet." I stood up and kept reading.
"Joe, I'm not kidding!"
"He started to kiss me and I was on a cloud," I read, laughing. "This is so stupid."
"Joe, stop it! Give me back my book!"
"Just wait a second."
"No, Joe! Now!" She suddenly grabbed the book but I tried to pull it back. "Give... it... back!" At that moment, the force of both of us pulling on the book ripped the bind and papers flew everywhere. "NO!"
I stared at the papers on the floor and looked up at Abigail. She had tears in her eyes and her hands were over her mouth. "Abigail, I am so--"
"How could you, Joe?!"
"I never meant to--"
"Just get out of here!" she screamed, the tears falling from her eyes. She dropped to the ground and started trying to pick up the papers. She ended up just crying and I felt so terrible.
I kneeled down and grabbed her hands. "Abigail, let me--"
"Just leave me alone!" She tore her hands away from me and stood up, running out the door. I sighed and sat back against the wall. I guess I was being a little mean. But did she really have to overreact like that? I grabbed the cover of the book and looked at it. 'A Little Piece of Heaven.' Kinda lame.
But one paper stood out to me. There was writing on it but from a pen. I could tell Abigail wrote it. It read, 'Favorite book ever!' Then, she had scrawled hearts around it. I had just torn her favorite book. Now, I felt really bad. I stood up and sadly climbed out of her room. I hadn't known but I should have just given it back to her instead of being so mean.
I headed back to the castle and walked out. I called for one of the servants and asked him to get the book for me. "Um, Your Highness, that book is at least thirty years old."
"Find it for me, please."
"As you wish." He bowed and left. I had to make this up to her now. But as I turned around, my mother was standing right there.
"What do you want that book for, Joseph? I'm sure it's not for you. Who is it for?" Uh-oh.

What will he tell his mother? Why was Abigail ignoring Joe?
So this was the crap chapter. Yeah, it sucks. Sorry. And just to let you know, A Little Piece of Heaven is the name of an Avenged Sevenfold song. I love it so much. My favorite song by them.
I'm still thinking about doing a contest and a reward. I don't know what to do about the reward. Any ideas for that? Comment guys. Please? Love you. :D

It wasnt Joes fault really... or yeah it was LoL :PP but she like really over-exaggerated!! and I feel bad for her but whatevs!! I bet it was her diary =)) & she put A Little Piece of Heaven in when Joe fell... HAHA! I am smart!! LOL hey duz any1 know what chukies (or however you spell it) are?? cuz on Spring Break my BFF Tyler went to Italy and got 1 for me and I started making them they are cool... its like a deflated ballon and you put flour in it! =))
