Inspired by kraftsportNO and tlast2O12dude I decided to get a little creative and record the next three weeks of Smolov which I will be doing for both bench press and deadlift as well as a skills evaluation (I will then be doing Sheiko #32 to peak for a competition).
I will just be showing video from the top set and I will have video for bench press in future videos just not this time.
The past few months have been fraught with under eating, less than optimal programming decisions and a lot of stress from life... as well as a recent squat preventing knee injury (nothing serious).
The last time I did Smolov base mesocycle was last year, I went from 155kg to 170kg squat. I want to beat my best bench press of 112.5kg and best deadlift of 190kg done in March.
Your knees will be the least of your troubles, your lower back will be quite fried to say the least. There are more appropriate programs for deadlift so I do not recommend Smolov. I only decided to do this because I had some knee troubles which prevented me from doing squats for a while.
