can i use a bly-ray laser diode from dvd bly-ray burner and make this or something similar them???? How much power have a laser from bly-ray dvd burner????

Why didn't you use these "laser drivers" or can this be done without a driver? What happens if you just plug the diodes positive and negative pins to the battery's pins?

For this one I used a bulky homemade laser diode driver. You must have a driver to run these things because the drivers give the diode the right amount of current. Hooking a bare diode up to a battery will kill the laser diode almost instantly because the battery unloads all of its power into the diode, which causes the diode to fry.
