What The Hell Does An Indian Do On Thanksgiving?

I received a question recently concerning what it is I do on Thanksgiving if I don't celebrate the goddamn holiday. Some American Indians do. I don't. And here's why.

Any "American Indian" group who celebrate Thanksgiving is celebrating their own ancestors holocaust. There is no respect or honor to take pride on a colonial European holiday that represents a day in which our ancestors had fallen to the knees of the European invasion, it was NOT A WAR, it was GENOCIDE! If our ancestors would be here right now, they will tell you the whole story from where it all began. There is no thanksgiving nor there wasn't a day of peace between the pilgrim & our people.

I'm a Black Woman who don't celebrate thanks giving... because of the reasons he mentioned here.... and i get negativity from people every year.. My Jamaican community and other non- American immigrants just come over here and adopted some shit they know nothing about.. just to be greedy (food). I never understood why people celebrate this crap.. LIKE HE SAID ITS A STRAIGHT INSULT TO THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE and all those that lost their lives..

@hazubekishi Learn what? I don't watch every one of this guy's videos, so maybe he isn't an ignorant ass. But a lot of people responding to me are ignorant, some even illiterate, and they act like all white people are horrible. We're not all racist assholes, we're not all a bunch of hicks who hate anyone who isn't white. On top of that, what kind of so-called "true" NATIVE AMERICANS call themselves INDIANS? Unless you're from India, you're not an indian...

not just one side but all..... then u find ways to get ur message out to the ppl that do not know any better to lift the shadows from there eyes the largest way to get a message out is to use internet these days but it is not the only way u can on ur off time from school hold rallies and sit in protest on the steps of ur local court house but never do this w/o the knowledge to back u up, i personally started protesting myself for rainforest rights at the age of 14 it all comes down
