Kitty Hawk Kites Hang Gliding Spectacular 2007

What great fun. Thanks to Bruce and all the Kitty Hawk Kites crew for a truly spectacular event. This is a video of my second flight. Ryan Voight approaches and gives me some excellent advice: "Run Like HELL and then think pointy thoughts!" Right before launch he says, "I'm going to run with you" and when I get airborne without crashing you can hear him say "GOOD!"

Thanks for all your help during the event Ryan; I appreciate it more than you know.

I actually did better on this flight than on the first one, though I couldn't reach the spot. This is very different than flying the mountain: The dune is very shallow slope launch, the sand is hard to run on, the wind was blowing about 15 mph, and you never get more than a few feet off the ground, and EVERYBODY is watching.

Yes, august is great. We just got back from KH this weekend, and we had a blast. You should check out the website kittyhawkkites(DOT)com to get prices.

 Also, if you can afford to take one 2500 foot tandem flight for 129$, you should do one of those. They will give you a real feel for the rush of flying at altitude with an instructor.
