  • Yeah, plus, he can do it his own way. He doesn't have to do it exactly like Billy Joel. I mean, sure, Billy Joel is great, but he just wanted to put his own twist to it and there's nothing wrong with that.

  • go see phil vassar in concert. its a great show. he does all of his hits, plus all of the hits that he's written for others like tim mcgraw and others. He and his band also do a bunch of covers like this one, ac/dc, and more.

  • @randyfloyd07 seen him 3 times over a decade .....best show ever

  • Phil Vassar singing Billy Joel's "Piano Man" is a good video. In addition to this song, I like "That's When I Love You", "Carlene" and "Just Another Day In Paradise".

  • FUCK YA

  • Is it just me or does anyone else notice the half singing, speaking audience member who is traveling along with the flow of the song? It's Horrid! Like a tenor or alto undertone. All I can say to them is Shut it please!

  • really?

  • Ur dumb it was billy joel

  • I think you'll find Billy Joel wrote that as far back as 1971 or maybe even earlier as it was on his Piano Man album from that time.....Phil Vassar would have been about 7 years old then.

  • Phil did not write this song. It was written by Billy Joel back in the early 70s. It's a fictional retelling of real people he met while working in a piano bar out in California. He even stated on 'inside the actors studio' there truly was a guy named Davy who was in the Navy. Google "piano man" if you don't believe me.
