A complete version of Raggedy Ann's, Andy's and The Camel (with the wrinkled knees)'s encounter with what is only known as "The Greedy". In sweet memory of Joe Silver (voice of "The Greedy")
Emery Hawkins (The Greedy's chief animator) and Joe Raposo (the film's composer and song writer).

Lyrics:
You can give me candy, cotton candy, chocolate bar or lollipop; fill me up on ice cream dripping fudge sauce, butterscotch and nuts that never stop; feed me globs and gushes of your most delushious stuff, but without a sweetheart I never get enough! To know that's my sadness--pardon me--hmm. Oh, dear!
Oh, squash me a banana drowned in jelly. Tutti fruity by the score! Marzipan and pastry drenched in butter, caramel and gingerbread galore! I can gorge forever, but I'm just an empty shell, and without a sweetheart, I don't feel so well. Pardon me, please; sorry! Oozing! Where's the sugar pop to stop this misery? Oozing! Is this endless eating all there is to be or not to be? Melt me a tortoni zambayoni glazed with soggy halava; peanut butter custard, baked Alaska--miracles of food from near and far. There's not one delight I haven't tried but life's too rough--oh, dear! 'Cause without a sweetheart I never get enough, never get enough, never get enough! (Belch!) Excuse me!

  • No, I did not animate this segment. I just know through reading about it that it took 3 tries to animate. This movie was released before I was born.

  • I posted the lyrics to Never Get Enough in the video description for those of you who are interested.

  • Believe me, he was a pain in the ass to animate. His segment was the last to be completed.

  • I can type the lyrics.

  • Suddenly, a resounding thud rocked the chamber, sending violent ripples through the Greedy's liquid form. Standing at one end of the cavernous room, stepping deliberately through the debris and smoke, was a steely-featured Wilford Brimley.

His eyes narrowed to rage-filled slits as he leveled his grenade launcher, and muttered, "Di-ah-beetus ...."

  • If you think of the logic of children's cartoons, the greedy is a lession in sharing gone horribly wrong. Whoever told the greedy he needed a sweet heart, of course ment that he needed someone to share what he has with, someone that he could feel good doing nice things for, but the greedy misinterpreted "sweet heart" as meaning literally a heart that's sweet. It's nice that this wasn't horriby preachy like most sharing lessions, on the other hand the message gets a bit lost in the oddness.

  • @kutegurl67 That's exactly what i was thinking.

  • @R35559 Even I find this creepy and I'm an Adult.

  • Shouldn't he be called "the Gluttony"?

  • @HugoLuman "[clears throat] *me-me-me-me-meeeee!*

"I am the Greedy, you see,

and as you can see, I eat constantly.

    A huge ocean of sweets

is the most of all my eats,

Yet even all this stuff is not enough!"

  • @Suaviterinmodo In fact, I believe it was animated by a legendary artist from the golden age of animation except the end patrt.

  • The first eldritch abomination in the U.S.

  • Rosie O'Donnel in fourty years.

  • Well, I've lost my appetite for anything sugary. Anyone up for a salad?

  • @Masterferret7 Well, the closest thing I know is "The Great Mighty Poo"

  • That's okay, I wasn't planning to sleep anyway.
