I've collected a bit of material from archive.org. Thanks for the tip on downloading! I keep being told that ogg is THE way to go. I'm new to this (and guarantee I WON'T be any good) but want to expand from being a wordsmith for so many years. I've worked on graphics for a while but have ideas batting around in my belfry and just need reasonable footage.

@irynski I find a lot of material on archive.org, prelinger archives. Download as hi-res mpg...but it does require lots of color-correction and smoothing out. Also, the motion masking helps make it look better.
