why not reuse plastic bags?
where did we get the idea of throwing away "free" bags, when don't need to.
retail stores should charge an extra for bagging
this so that there is an REAL incentive to reuse bags.
high grade plastic bag are light wt., strong(with thicker thickness), and store well in pockets or handbag.
Using canvas bags just shifts manfact. cost and harsh chemicals from plastic to canvas.

I finally started using canvas bags and once you start you never want to stop. I've noticed though that many of the canvas bags for sale at grocery stores have hippy-like flower designs on them (the Whole foods bag was the worst - bright orange yellow and blue psychedelic flower designs). I look forward to when the bags have a less radical flower child look so I don't feel I'm making all these other statements by using them.
