This is a Remington #2 Rolling Block Rifle, built in 1897. It is chambered in caliber .32 WCF or .32-20. It was purchased by its present owner at the Ohio Gun Collector's Assn. show in Cleveland about 1990. The RB action is the ultimate in simplicity. With the hammer cocked, pivot the breechblock back for loading, then pivot it back forward. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer locks the breechblock closed. Very simple, reliable and strong.

  • is there a way to get the barrel extended a little more... i like link rifles

  • @dogbone222 I suppose you could add a muzzle attachment but rebarreling might be the most satisfactory way to lengthen the barrel. This one has a 24 inch barrel but looks short because of the short action.

  • It would vary a lot by condition, and whether it is original. This one has been reblued and the stock refinished. Bore is not perfect, but shootable. I wouldguess it would be in the $300 to $400 range.
