Largest foreign direct investors are Hong Kong and Taiwan, with HK outstripping U.S., Japan, Singapore, Korean investment by many folds.

  • @Phead128 Oh out of "to the topic" comments? Sooner than Russia i think America will collapse and thus China will start to have economic problems as most of the companies out there are americans.

  • @Flankymanga

Dude, Russia is probably going to collapse again.

  • @Flankymanga

Just like U.S. President Eisenhower threatened Britain with dumping British debt, ruining British Sterling pound, and ruining British economy, Wikileaks said China has already used U.S. debt as leverage in Taiwan case.

China possess the capacity, along with Russia, to be mortal threats based on capacity alone, but China lacks the motive or intention to hurt U.S. economy. Look at the trade deficit, I'm sure China will want to milk America as long as possible.

  • Yep and that protection ended in 1989 with Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 incident. Relations were further deteoriated by US supporting Taiwan independece by frequent US CArrier battlegroup patrol visits, sales of weapons to Iran and everything was toppled with 2001 incident involving P-3 Orion near Hainan island and Chinese fighter whose pilot was killed. Further deteoriarions go on with ASAT tests on both sides. No way USA are allies with China, get it over man.. they were once, not anymore

  • @Phead128 I guess you haven't hear about IS program of the Soviet Union the legendary (Istrebitel-Sputnik) in the 1960s. Soviet Union by that time was the FIRST to have anti-sattelite weapons. Russians have the longest experience with them. They were the first to perform tests. They actually still have as the only nation of the world aircraft capable to launch asat missile to destroy satelites. My friend you seriusly lack knowledge to argue with me :)

Soviet diplomats warned Washington of Moscow's plans "to wipe out the Chinese threat and get rid of this modern adventurer," with a nuclear strike, asking the US to remain neutral.

Washington told Moscow the United States would not stand idly by but launch its own nuclear attack against the Soviet Union if it attacked China, loosing nuclear missiles at 130 Soviet cities. The threat worked, he added, and made Moscow think twice. U.S. protected China since Sino-Soviet Split.

  • @Phead128 and have i indicated something otherwise? I am saying the same thing, i guess you misunderstood. You were indicating that China and America are allies, and now you are writing about how america will be left by china. Ofcourse it will... China does not need America. They are no allies. And thus if China would enter a military comflict with Russia over its "lost" land. No way america will stand up and defend China against Russian nuclear horror. They would wipe them out of earth surface.

  • @Flankymanga

Yes, China, with 1,400 million people, definitely needs America's 300 million people consumer market.

Logically, China has enough people to replace America's consumer market by FIVE (5), so don't bet your beans that China won't dump America after America has outlived her usefulness.

  • @Flankymanga

GPS (US), Glonass (Russia/India), Compass (China), and Galileo (Europe), I know....

Plus, China and America are the only two nations in the world that has tested anti-satillete missiles.
