i am glad that all these guys are still out keeping the faith! rock on forever dudes! and yeah ball has some killer tunes on it.............

Doug Ingle was the heart and soul of Iron Butterfly and the band can't be as good without him. Get the "Ball" album and listen to this, the leadoff track. One of the most heavy and stunning intros to any album ever.

@garyproducer Lee Dorman is not a founder member of Iron Butterfly. He joined them for their second album In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.

they ended up finding his body in a van that went over a cliff....years later, i think!

Yes his truck was in a gorge. the bass player on this song is Lee Dorman who played on In A Gadda Da Vida. The one who disappeared was Phil Kramer who played on 2 1975 albums (Sun & Steel and Scorching Beauty)
Can anyone tell me the players here? Such as who is the singer? Are theyer any origonal members here in this video? And if so can you give me any updates on them?

Lee Dorman (bass guitar) and Ron Bushy (drums) are founding members of IB. From what I understand, Eric Barnett (lead guitar & vocals) toured with them for about the past 10 years at the time I videotaped this concert. Larry Rust (keyboards) toured with them from 1999 to 2005 and then went on to persue his solo career.

I guess it's all a matter of opinion, eh?
Most of us cannot think of the Iron Butterfly without envisioning Doug's haunting voice!
Not to take anything away from this guy, but...Just not the same

I usually prefer the original line-up of just about any band. I've been a big fan of Iron Butterfly since day one. You are right, Doug had amazing vocals. However, at this point, I'll take as many original members on stage at one time as I can. Thanks for your comment SteelyDug. Stop back by anytime.

3:53 of this clip...the greatest vocals in the history of the Iron Butterfly!
Let's all stop whining about the absence of Doug Ingle and give all due respect to the vocal prowess of Eric Barnett!
