"Shifting Patterns" is a documentary chronicling a program by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra to help spread music education and the passion for all styles of music and art. This program included Korean composer Jin Hi Kim teaching meditative percussion to New Haven middle schoolers and also world renowned composer Augusta Read Thomas teaching classical composition to six high school students over a period of two years. Their final compositions will be performed by the NHSO after completing the program.

This documentary served as my Senior Thesis Project for my bachelors degree in Film/Video/Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University, May 2010. I was a camera operator and the film's editor.
