"Hmm, Sanctus. He's old, loves to stay in the air, and believes the Saviour is coming every fifteen seconds." - That's the best description of Sanctus I've ever heard xD

Since the game is mostly combat-orientated, I'm gonna assume you're fine for the platofrming parts.
Just learn to put together combos that allow you to keep going, that way you're not a sitting duck for attacks and also you can keep the flow of action going. Remember offscreen enemies can't attack, although if you have them onscreen for long enough to start an attack they'll definitely finish it, so watch out and keep aware of your surroundings.
Learning to air combo is also a life saver.

Cheers for the props.
Dunno about RPGs really, last one I played was Fallout 3, which was pretty good. A bit Oblivion with a Fallout skin, but there's just so much content, I've gone through 600 hours in eight playthroughs.
Yeah screw Fable, and screw Peter Molyneux. I was never a fan of that crap, it's like a watered down Zelda with worse gimmicks than recent Zeldas.
lol, I'm a PS3 user, I'll be on PSN =P
If I find out anymore good RPGs, I'll let you know.

Haha, you're so funny. Can you even play the game? Anyone knows Easy Automatic is horrible. No, I don't play Easy Automatic, why? Because you open yourself up to way more attacks.
Don't accuse me of "faking" combos. Combo building is easy in this game, if you can't do what I do, I pity you; I play at a medium-skill level (S Ranked all modes). That's the level of a normal DMC player you're looking at.
Also, you can find out for yourself what to do at the Saviour. Learn better English.

Ah, so you CAN counter that sword attack with a well timed Buster. That fight was giving me fits on Devil Hunter and SoS because when you get his life down to a few bars, pretty much all he does is is that attack where he lunges at you over and over again and I would just dodge and then wait for the next opening, which was sometimes a long time in coming. This knowledge makes it much easier.

lol, most of the counter Busters were kinda instinctive to me. I knew Buster was probably the solution on Devil hunter when I realised I couldn't hit him when he went into his charging state. Strangely on DMD, his health has to be ridiculously low (half a segment?) for him to use the charging attack at all O_O
