The Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights Junior Drum and Bugle Corps (1946 - 1973) were winners of 9 National Championships, 19 NJ State Championships, 11 National Dream Championships, and the first World Open Champions (1963). BSGK placed first or second in more than 80 percent of all contests from 1954 on. The corps won 9 of 13 Nationals from 1954 through 1963, and between 1954 and 1970 placed in the top 4 in 18 out of 21 Nationals. From 1958 through 1963 B.S. placed first 112 times in 135 contests.

@TheHarryHawkes I grew up with Tom. We went to St Kevin's grammar school and he was part of the St Kevin's drum & bugle corps. He had to leave when his family moved to Braintree, MA. I saw him many years later when I was teaching a junior corps in Chelmsford, MA. He is a great guy and a true professional. I'll see if I can track him down for you.

does anyone remember or know a Tom McAndrew from the Boston area. I'm sure these are the corps he used to tell me about when he was over in England. i would love to be able to contact him
