OZWALD BOATENG S/S 2011 FASHION SHOW - VIDEO BY XXXX MAGAZINE
Inspired by the exquisite suits his father wore, Ozwald Boateng came out with his own line of menswear when he was 23, and is noted for being the first black Saville Row tailor. He presented his latest collection of beautifully constructed suits at a cinema in Leicester Square. Opening the show was not a model, but rather a short film about Boateng's career, and his impressive designs for a wide array of celebrities and politicians. Each seat was adorned with a mini bottle of Moet Champagne, so we could enjoy the late evening show in style. By far one of the best shows of London fashion week, Boateng proceeded the fascinating short film with over 100 models in a procession of intricate timing on the stage. His trademark look adding a modern twist to the classical and refined tailored suit was brought home with an endless parade of brilliant colors and even more brilliant casting. In the collection of skillfully tailored menswear, there was an impressive range of suits with shorts or long trousers topped with dress shirts, blazers and ties/bow ties for a man of any age.
