It took massive balls to drive one of these things... R.I.P. Jim Clark

In his book "My Racing Life" Derek Bell opined that a misfire was a likely cause (or at least a factor) in Clarks fatal accident this day. He related that Jimmie was aware his car was not performing as well as it should and that he had said to another driver, before the race: "when you pass me...." (as in "when you LAP me...").
Pretty unusual right there for any car Clark was piloting, but he clearly knew it was not performing up to snuff.
I really wish he had begged off the race, myself.

@TheSmokin98 Hello Dopey !
I'm sorry, but I can't take seriously someone who can't spell 'hilariously','immature', 'you're' and can't even put an apostrophe in 'doesn't'.
Surely Youtube doesn't want garbage like you ? All the best !!!!

@TheSmokin98 Hi Dopey !!
Sorry, I can't take seriously thickos like you who can't spell 'hilariously', 'immature' and even 'you're'.
Does youtube want people who can't string sentences together ?
All the best !!!

@ysgol3 this is hillariously immiture!! first, go grow a pair, second, now your being homophobic and rude. youtube doesnt want people like you, so go away
-
@tazio2 Hi There !!
First, I find your use of 'they he',obviously in an attempt to appear clever and sophisticated, hilarious. It's 'they him' you idiot.
Second. I was SYMPATHISING with Jim's possible secret predicament. Your word 'arsebandit' shows you're just another dopey homophobe who thinks that vicious abuse will hide the fact that you're gay yourself. Probably the only woman you've ever fancied, and I dare say fucked, is your mother !! Best wishes for 2012, hope you find a job !!!

so sad

@ysgol3 You may be an arsebandit, You are certainly an ARSEHOLE ,Jimmy Clark was a heterosexual who loved women and they he.You are not fit to consume the fecal matter from his exhaust pipe.

Just before the start . Jimmy told his mechanic Beaky Simms " Don't expect me to be in my usual position today, I don't trust the tyres, I can't get any heat into them." He had a puzzling misfire which could not be traced down also.
@supersjaak123

My grandfather was proffesional race car driver in the 1950's until he was involved in a near fatal crash he suffered major head and brain trama but survived barely but never raced proffesionally again these men that raced in the early days were true pioneers for the safety of drivers and officals R.I.P. Jim Clark gone but never forgotten.
