Arrows in their last ever appearance doing their song "Love Rider," a tune recorded in 1976 at Granada's Quay Street Studio in Manchester England that didn't get released until 2005 with EMI's "A's B's and Rarities."
The band split up shortly after this Christmas appearance.
Because of reruns the band were on air in 1977 even though they had gone separate ways.
Following up, the lead singer Alan Merrill formed the Island Records band Runner, drummer Paul Varley the Charisma Records band Darling, guitarist Terry Taylor founded the Rhthym Kings band with Bill Wyman, and guitarist Jake Hooker became his wife Lorna Luft's manager.
For more on the band look up "Arrows UK pop group" on any search engine.

  • Cool! Paul mentions the guys from the band UFO!

  • @ladycsummers Paul was very close to the guys from UFO. Best mates.

  • Sadly, the Arrows drummer passed away on July 2nd, 2008. He was a lovely chap and will be missed by all who knew him and his musical contributions. Paul Varley RIP.

  • Ha! That was former Arrows lead guitarist Terry Taylor, who is now with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings band as musical director.

  • GREAT!!!!

  • Phill Moog and Pete way stole the van one night after a gig at the Marquee. Yah they were good mates. Pete was so funny......he still owes me five quid.

There was also Rare Bird. We'd often meet at the Ship after the Bag a Nails, Ronny Scotts or the Marquee.

  • One of my favorite songs by this band. Anyone catch the dedication by drummer Paul Varley to his mates in the band UFO at the start of the video?

  • Alan is STILL a hottie!!!!!!! ;)

  • This is great. Sad it was their last televised performance ever.
