Whenever I come over from Perth, I always try and make it out to this oval to pay tribute (although I'm a Cats fan). Great the the old grandstand is heritage listed. Last time I was there (last week, thereabouts) it looked as though there was some more work being done. Somebody's put an old FFC flag up on the pole too. Looks pretty neat. Wish I could say the same for the Lake Oval stand. Pretty crazy to have taken steps on a ground were guys like Bunton, Smallhorn and Murray did their best work.
