SVB Financial Group recently hosted a panel discussion titled How Venture Capital Works. The panelists discussed the relationships, decisions, and economics that drive venture capital. The panel included participants representing the three key roles in VC industry dynamics:

brian and judith answered with short and clear answers and brian really made things clear but the guy john - the entreprenuer, someone should deflate his ego so he can maybe answer a question clearly! I dont think he addressed his questions at all

Brian (the middle guy) kinda looks like Giovanni Ribisi. ANd it's nice to heare about the POV of the party's themselves.
@californiaspinnaker: you saying it yourself. It's the job of those (Venture )Capital investors to assess the potential of the startup. Losing the seed is for their own risk. However, thats where the business lawyer can come in to negotiate creatively to reduce risk.
