I LOVE this ship I think it's GORGEOUS the only difference is the parts of it are sleeker and more modern

@techraan Like you said, there's no comparison between the ships. It would be like trying to compare a medium T-bone steak dinner to beef jerky. Let's just say my opinion of Star Trek 2009 is, to outright STEAL and Slice & Dice a line from Hardware Wars, "You'll Laugh, You'll Cry, You'll Kiss Your Hard Earned Money in the [BLEEP] Good bye."
However, in all honesty, I must admit there was only one problem with Star Trek '09.
The Script.

The new enterprise looks ok, I just feel it looks like a characature of the original, or rather a characature of the original movie version. It's not bad, but the first two versions, the one from TOS and the one from the first 6 films (ok, technically two different ships, but the same model) were both better.
I think I've stumbled onto one simple way of explaining why the new Star Trek and new ship "feels" different. The TOS and TNG eras both modeled their style of operations and style of ships in a pseudo-Navy mannerism. Military style order were main themes, and like Navy ships, they were intended to appear functional and high tech, but not purposefully showy. New Star Trek appears to lean somewhat away from that, and so you get more "space cowboy" moments and, on occasion, too much "bling."

Change is important, and I do think there are people that will agree with me and accept the new Enterprise
