Raw Video: World's Largest Statue of Christ

Hundreds of Roman Catholics gathered in western Poland for the consecration of what local officials call the world's largest statue of Jesus Christ. The statue is just over 167 feet, making it taller than Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer. (Nov. 21)

Why is everyone being obnoxious? These people built this by themselves they raised the money from a thousand different churches and many fundraisers. I am not a christian or a religious person per se but I think this great for these people. They like it, I dont mind it. Let people live thier lives in peace and allow them to worship whatever or whoever they want. Muslims, Christians, Taoists, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and even Confucianists and Zoroastrians, leave them all alone. Life is hard enuf

@albokk I agree with you on that . The pointless war in Iraq is just ridiculous. I hate war, no matter where it is at. But i am only sharing my opinions on this. But I still think that this statue is unnecessary. I've heard from people that believe in god say, "god will only save those who believe in him". The only thing I can do is just laugh and think religions are just plain dumb. Basically its like saying, "You will be saved by paying to churches and feeding those priest who don't work".

@j000z11 lol what wtf r u babbling about first is none of your business what polish people do with they own money , "If all the money were to be donated to japan to help human lives" what about those billions of dollars that go to waste every year i.e usa spend more than 400 billion dollars on pointless war (iraq) those would have a bigger impact on japan and other countries plus christian in general donate more to charities than any other group

@KlingonSpider To be honest, i think you are wrong. Life is hard enough because of a lot of things. One of them can be natural disaster such as the earthquake in japan. If all the money were to be donated to japan to help human lives, then i think the money is worth it. The money spent on this useless statue is just simply gone to waste. What would a statue of that size do for you? Absolutely nothing.
