Larry Melvyn Evans (born March 23, 1932) is an American chess grandmaster and journalist. He has won the U.S. Chess Championship four times.

Samuel Herman (Sammy) Reshevsky (born Szmul Rzeszewski, November 26, 1911, Ozorków near Lodz, (then Russian Empire, today Poland) - died April 4, 1992, New York, USA) was a leading American chess Grandmaster. He won the U.S. Chess Championship six times outright, and lost a playoff for the title in 1973. Reshevsky was a Candidate for the World Chess Championship three times (1948, 1953, and 1968). Reshevsky was also a chess author.

  • Good stuff, never thought of watching a chess commentary. Been playing since i was 7(14 years) and never really had something to compare my skill to till today

  • @btravagl1 He he should mention that if white simply takes the knight the keymove is Re1+ white K to the 2nd rank (either h2 or g2) and then Qa2+ mates white (Kh2/g2 Qa2+ then if Kg3 rg1+ followedy by Qg2 mate or Kh3 Rh1+ followedy by Qh2 mate)
