How to eat foods to control moods and depression

When you're feeling blue, do you turn to friends like Ben & Jerry for comfort? Dietitian and author Elizabeth Somer shows you which foods really can lift your spirits and help control mood swings. Sadly, Chunky Monkey isn't one of them.

  • It's funny how she thinks butter is bad our ancestors have been eating it for hundreds of years and our bodies can use this fat to burn fat because our bodies have adapted to it. But man-made margarine is actually bad because it doesn't exist in nature and is man made with chemicals plus they just aren't the same. If you want butter that's healthy then get organic salt free grass fed butter. It's richer and healthier than margarine. My source: reading lots of nutritional books and experiment.

  • i think not eating in general causes depression

  • @steeeeker Relax there. As for eating what you want, sure you can do that. So long as you're cool with consequences. I take it you're the type to never change the oil in your car either. How about your bath water, do you recycle that? No, yeah cause it's gross. Just because you can't see inside doesn't mean you don't muck up the works by eating "whatever you want". Good luck with your future health problems.
