The camcorder used in the entire production was a blue Canon FS100. All ambient sound was recorded off the integrated microphone. No external microphone was used.

@TheGamerLand The Canon FS100's digital image stabilizer is crap, and light camera gear is actually more difficult to keep steady than heavy camera gear. You need to practice A LOT before getting it right. Unfortunately, this was the first time I've ever used an extremely light camcorder during a trip.
