  • I miss Dr. Lehmeyer. His voice is recorded here, but it lives in the voices of the thousands of student's that he inspired.

  • this is the best reading of all of the ones posted on YouTube, even (or especially :(), the reading by Yeats himself. As a female, I always heard it in my mind in a female voice, so it was a little bit of a shock to hear all the male readings! Funny how stuff like that doesn't occur to you. This is a very lovely reading of it. This is one of my favorite poems and I've loved it since I first read and then memorized it at age 16. It's true that poetry feeds and sustains the soul. thank you
