Sonic CD - Steam Version - Bad Future with all Time Stones?

... so much for recording a "Good Future" run of Sonic CD.

Hey guys, you want to know the real reason this account doesn't update often?

I seem to have very bad luck with video game glitches and issues with games.. and only if I'm attempting to record anything! (More on that later, if I ever get round to re-recording the LP that got ruined by the glitch gremlin!) ( I think X3 has come back to haunt me lately)


This port is actually pretty good, but it seems to suffer from a fair few glitches and inaccuracies to the original. This is the only really annoying one i've come across.

@ACESpark Hi there, how do you find this version of the game? I tried the PSN demo and really liked it, but I have all other Sonic games on PC, on steam, so I would prefer to buy this one too via steam.

Also, once downloaded/installed, does it become part of the ''SEGA Genesis Classics'' library, which opens a little menu with options and stuff with all your retro genesis/megadrive games, or is it a game on its own that just starts once you click on it in your steam list.

@MerryBlind It is it's own game. It is not emulation, but is a remake of Sonic CD.

As a result, there are some inaccuracies to the original game.

You do get to chose which soundtrack you want, as well as graphical options, engine updates and the ability to play as Tails - which is good.

This version is just a port of the Xbox version - so it's pretty much identical to the console releases.

This game is not a "port" but an engine coded from scratch. Calling it a port is kinda insultive :P

I've seen it happen during other playthroughs like Sonic's Channel. I think it's supposed to be like that.

@gamefreakDX It is a glitch. This does not happen in the original version of Sonic CD - if you get all the TimeStones, Act 3 is supposed to always be the "Good Future" version of the zone. Besides - look at the end of the video - despite being in the Bad Future version of the stage - I still get told that Sonic is in the Good Future.

Basically it's all kinds of screwed up.

The guy who made it actually said that to get the good future for everything with the Time Stones, you have to get the last one on Metallic Madness Act 2.

um I think you need to destroiy the genirator in each level to get the good future

Anybody else having problems with the Videos at the beginning and both ending videos? Mine play sound but they don't even move.

at least u get to play yers i downloadid it and it refuses to play i tryed reinstaling it like 5 times and it still wont run it tells me it loading and never does

@ACESpark I wouldn't say glitch... unless people have seen the good future when they have all the Time Stones. If now, I'd say it's just something the developers forgot to do.
