Phylicia could have and should have resumed using her birthname,Phylicia Ayers Allen after divorcing Ahmad Rashad. If she were Mrs. Bill Cosby,they'd never divorce. But Camille Olivia Hanks entered his life and married him long before he met Phylicia. If Phylicia were my wife,we'd definitely never divorce.

Good thing that Phylicia quit or got written out of ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Soap opera actors only have two weeks off a year sometime during the summer and work their asses off the other fifty. They always have off on Saturday,Sunday,Thanksgiving Day,the preceding day,Christmas Eve and Christmas Day,though. During the Cosby Show era,Phylicia had an annual work hiatus of 4 or 5 months. Typically,a season would end production in March and the next season would begin in July or August.

Phylicia is mentioned in the current issue of People Weekly because of the story about the upcoming demise of the ABC soap opera ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Pre-Cosby Show,she played publicist Courtney Wainwright on OLTL from 1981 to '83. Then she went to do the Broadway play DREAMGIRLS.

@arhuxtable Well, Victor Willis is the man that made her rich. In fact, she got more money out of Victor Willis (Including the mansion he still lives in to this day) than from any of her other husbands, including Amad Rashad. As for the drug thing, they were both young (though she was much older) and on drugs. Thank goodness Victor eventaully also kicked his drug habbit. However, as men go, Victor Willis was clearly the better provider and she was much better offer after meeting him.

He asked her to marry him,she accepted the propsal and have been together for sixteen years. How kind of her TV hubby,comedy legend Bill Cosby to give her away at the wedding since her father was already dead at the time. Her sister,Deborrah Kaye "Debbie" Allen,on the other hand,is a basketball person. She has been married for 27 years to L.A. Lakers alum Norm Nixon. On December 11,1986,3 days shy of the couple's first wedding anniversary,Ahmad and Phylicia welcomed Condola Phylea Rashad.

William Bowles,Phylicia Ayers Allen's first husband,is or was a dentist,like her late father was. She probably thought she would last with hubby #1. Good thing the Victor-Phylicia marriage ended. She got into drugs after meeting him. She kicked them but he kept using them and she had enough of his drug use. Obviously,football is Phylicia's favorite sport,although it's really not a female one. Robert Earl Moore(Ahmad's birthname) made a visual connection with PAA Thanksgiving Day 1985.

Ahmad Rashad is in his fourth marriage now. He remains close friends with Phylicia since they had a daughter together who's now almost 25 years old. I believe he was stupid for leaving Phylicia for somebody else who is probably semi-ugly. A trivial note:Ahmad's fellow NFL legend O.J. Simpson served as best man at the Ahmad-Phylicia wedding on December 14,1985.

Yall should cut Amad some slack. He's not the first man to Divorce her. Her first marriage to William Bowles, ended in divorce. Her second marriage to Victor Willis (original Village People lead singer, who was much younger than her) ended in divorced. Her third Marriage to Amad Rashad (younger than her) ended in divorce. BIG DEAL! Amad's been maried 3 or 4 times too. She's still a great star though.
