I have just seen Sicko. I am so thank full that I live in the UK. We take our NHS for granted and we really shouldn't. In some ways I feel guilty. Guilty that if my daughter gets sick I know I can get her treated.
It's not a perfect health system, but this film Sicko has changed my point of view on it. The next time I'm waiting an hour over my appointment time I will just think how lucky I am not to be a sick American.

acid84 --- They are loughing about SLOVENIA but SLOVENIA(Former Yugoslav Republic) got it's independence in 1991 to 2007 they grew to 38 PLACE in the WORLD ..... IN 15 years from nothing THEY GREW to 38 place ,,,, I was in SLOVENIA in 2002 I would put it even above USA .....

Hes statistics about health care system in Slovenia are 15 years old. Slovenia is much above the USA in healthcare right now.

Bluenote71 is right.. See this movie then DO something. Write a letter, or find a website that has links to organizations that already have action underway. For Christ's sake, if Ghana can do it.. America should have access to universal health as well!

I paid $7 grand for 17 years BSBC When I got sick with CANCer they gave me VIOXX and Narcotics Only when The Ulta sound Probe broke off in my vagina did they give me and OPERATION .Now I have colon cancer and uninsurable and dont qualify for State care .I will die I am 44 female white

Act now! I've written a letter to my US representative, and I haven't even lived in the country for four years. Watching "Sicko" won't bring us health care. It's our responsibility to make this change to universal care.
